About Party for the Parks
Party for the Parks is a neighborhood celebration organized by the Northside Hill Neighborhood Association. It brings neighbors, families, friends, and park lovers together for an afternoon of music, games, food, drinks, and fundraising for Mt. Simon Park.
This event is open to the whole community. Whether you live on the Northside, play disc golf at Mt. Simon, bring your kids to the playground, hike the trails, meet friends for volleyball, or just love this park, you are invited.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Because this is a fundraiser, we are asking for a suggested donation of $10 per person if you are able. Give what you can. Every donation helps support the Mt. Simon bathroom project and moves us closer to building a restroom near the Upper Mt. Simon playground and pavilion area.
No one will be turned away for not donating. We want people at the park, enjoying the day, supporting the community, and helping however they can.
Come for the music. Stay for the party. Help us build something good for Mt. Simon.

Why Mt. Simon Park Matters
Mt. Simon Park is an important gathering place for our neighborhood and the broader Eau Claire community. It is a place where families, kids, hikers, disc golfers, picnic groups, volleyball players, and neighbors come together throughout the year.
What the park offers
- Playground space for kids
- Pavilion area for gatherings
- Trails for walking and exploring
- Places for picnics, games, and community time
Why this project matters
Our primary fundraising priority is the development of a new public bathroom near the park’s recently improved playground area. Additional needs include a pavilion that could provide shelter and gathering space for families and community events.
The Fundraising Goal
Our goal is to raise $70,000 for the Mt. Simon Park restroom project and related Upper Mt. Simon improvements.
$15,000 COMMUNITY CHALLENGE
An anonymous local donor has committed $15,000 toward the Mt. Simon restroom project and is challenging the Eau Claire community to raise another $15,000 by December 31, 2026.
Meeting that challenge would bring $30,000 toward our $70,000 goal.
“Growing up, my neighborhood park transformed my life.”
Anonymous local donor
Party for the Parks is our first big opportunity to answer this challenge together. Every dollar raised by the Northside Hill Neighborhood Association at the event will count toward the community’s $15,000 goal.
Join us September 12 at Mt. Simon Park. Attend for free, make a donation if you’re able, buy a beverage or raffle ticket and help move this project forward.
Main Stage Lineup
Artist Spotlight
We’re bringing a little something for everyone: electronic energy from ECedm, soulful sounds from Woodzen, and a full-force rock set from The Jaggernauts to close out the day. We’re also welcoming Steve Bateman for a live multimedia painting around 5 PM.
The Jaggernauts
Since 2004, The Jaggernauts have been one of those bands that helps make Eau Claire’s music scene feel like Eau Claire. Their sound brings together alternative rock, grunge and punk, and more than 20 years in, they’re still writing, recording and playing out.
They’ll bring that history, energy and plenty of volume to the Main Stage at 5:45 PM, closing out Party for the Parks.

Woodzen
We’re excited to have Woodzen joining us for Party for the Parks.
Woodzen brings a sound that is hard to pin down in the best possible way. Their music blends funk grooves, jazzy saxophone, blistering guitars, ethereal keyboards, and shimmering vocal harmonies into something that feels loose, lively, and completely their own.
They’ve been compared to bands like The Grateful Dead, The Wallflowers, and The War on Drugs, but Woodzen has a personality all its own. Call it psychedelic country. Call it a jam band that is not really a jam band. Or better yet, come hear them for yourself.
Catch Woodzen at Mt. Simon Park as we celebrate local music, local parks, and the community coming together to support the Party for the Parks fundraiser.
Set time: 4:00 PM.

DJ Kalvin and SilverC will bring that energy to Mt. Simon Park as part of a lineup that moves from electronic music to live band performances throughout the day.
